We are seeking a qualified Sr. Project Manager with a passion for getting the job done right the first time to come join our team. POSITION SUMMARY
The position of the Sr. Project Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and tracking projects which include installation. This role is accountable for the success of projects, often coordinating efforts across departments, and reporting progress to the organization pushing toward their shared goals. Also responsible for communicating and collaborating with Field Superintendents and Project Coordinators to meet customer needs and expectations.

You must understand all the phases of permitting and inspections of the construction project. You need to know when to call for inspections on a project, how to deal with building departments and inspectors (typically over the phone).

We also expect you to be a master in communication. We believe that relationships are built on being straightforward, overly communicative and emails only used to follow up on what everyone agreed to. A client should never call us to ask us the status, we should always be reaching out with a phone call, and following up with an email.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Project Management & Planning: Demonstrates excellent project management skills, including prioritization, scheduling, and documentation. Defines project scope, creates detailed work plans, and develops schedules to meet customer needs, including permitted projects.
  • Execution & Oversight: Communicates work plans and schedules with the Field Superintendent and relevant staff, ensuring project activities align with expectations. Regularly updates Workfront ( project management ) and Business Central, monitors project budgets (travel, labor, subcontractors, materials), and obtains required installation clearances.
  • Technical & Problem-Solving Skills: Possesses a solid technical understanding, applies analytical and problem-solving skills to manage shifting priorities, and adapts to new technologies quickly.
  • Collaboration & Quality Control: Works closely with the Field Superintendent and Director of Services to review project quality and ensure it meets customer standards. Actively participates in daily production meetings and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Mentors junior team members, shares knowledge, and fosters a collaborative work environment.
  • Resource Management: Secures rental equipment as needed to support project execution

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, business management, or related area of study is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience as a Project Manager or similar position responsible for defining and managing project scope, timelines, profitability, and effective delivery of products or services.
  • 1-2 years in a leadership role
  • Construction/ Architectural Project Experience Required
  • Knowledge and/or experience in city permit process
  • Excellent customer-facing and internal communication skills
  • Clear decision-making capability such as importance, urgency and risks for organization and customer
  • Solid organization skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to create and maintain project budgets
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Project management software and CRM experience a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
Occasional travel for customer visits, job site installation and other company facilities.
